Homemade barbecue sauce is so incredibly easy to make. You control the ingredients, salt content, and the added oils and preservatives. Not only that, it freezes beautifully, making it easy to thaw and use in a matter of minutes. It’s the perfect condiment for topping sandwiches, baked potatoes, rice, pasta, or bread.

This sauce is
- thick
- creamy
- smooth
- flavorful

- and ohhhhh so good!

Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp molasses (or date syrup)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 Tbsp liquid smoke
- 2 tsp. smoked paprika
- 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- pinch cayenne pepper
Instructions
Place all ingredients except water into a blender. Blend on high, adding water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached. Note: The sauce will thicken as it cools.
